Hailing from Denmark, Wood Wood have established themselves as street and menswear connoisseurs, and have provided an extensive preview to their Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Copenhagen has began to really position itself near the top of the global menswear market. With brands like Wood Wood and Norse intertwining their native wears with high quality design, they are providing faultless releases year in and year out. This particular release from Wood Wood consists of T-shirts, shirts, crewneck sweaters, hooded jackets, jeans, chinos, shorts and a standout raincoat mac. The color co-ordination and aesthetic throughout is sublime, and fortunately hasn’t been overused.
The two shirts are the boldest out of the collection, but by no means unattractive. One is dip-dyed through black and red, while the other bosts a white polka dot, with red and blue paneling. Both unique and distinctive, with hints of Paul Smith in the styling. Then there’s the mac; a beautiful piece of craftsmanship that highlights the brands simplicity. The jeans and trousers bulk up the release and are no doubt easily wearable and well made.
Expect to see the collection starting to drip into UK stockists very soon.
