As we all sit indoors hiding from the snow and dreaming of Spring, Urbanears present their Spring/Summer 2012 collection, including three new colours.
Continuing some of their more popular colours from previous seasons, the SS12 collection sees a welcome return for black, dark grey, indigo, mocca, mustard, tomato and white. Alongside the classics, Urbanears have added three new colours to their palette especially for this season; cream, sage and grape (pictured below). As per usual, all colours are available in all styles, including the Tanto, Medis, Bagis and the ever popular Plattan.
It’s a strange phenomenon that is the fashion headphone, but something that has risen to a huge strength in the last year or so, with a selection of companies creating colourful headphones that can be used to top off an outfit, while also being functional. However, there is an air of understated simplicity about Urbanears that appeals to me; no branding, no in-your-face colourways, just a simple, matte, tonal approach that works.
These new additions to the extensive colour palette of Urbanears have a nice pastell look to them and compliment the old colours well, and there is no promise that they will return in future seasons. The Spring/Summer 2012 collection is available now from the Urbanears website and their Boxpark shop in London.
