Nike Zoom Meriwether QS (Bison/Black)

Though we’ve all got our minds firmly set on the Summer sun, it’s important not to forget that in Britain, unfortunately we’re never too far away from a nice dose of wet weather. Fortunately for those who need convincing, Nike are here to remind us with a new ‘All Conditions’ Zoom Meriwether.

Coated in a a bison brown soft leather, accented with black hardware, an off-white Trailframe midsole, and red laces, this is for me an almost perfect rendition of one of Nike’s newer ACG models. Inspired by explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, the Meriwether is built to take on all terrains and withstand the elements, with the Zoom cushioned sole unit providing comfort and protection throughout. The lace loops and rugged outsole borrow from the classic hiking boot, but it’s the slick upper and zip-fastened opening that make this something different.

Most importantly, it looks good – real good, and had it arrived at the beginning of the colder, wetter months, I’d definitely have sought to pick it up, so it leaves me undecided. It’s a Quickstrike release though, which means it’s unlikely to be around long. Check out some detailed shots below, and pick it up now, while stocks last, at Urban Industry.
