oi polloi presents Deck-Out No.120: The Seaside Sulker

oi polloi once again get creative with their style focused Deck-Out series, this time dressing a lonesome wandering man as The Seaside Sulker.

The more you get to know the folks at oi polloi through their editorial content, the more you realise they enjoy a bit of fun, or are completely bonkers. Either way, this stylish approach to The Seaside Sulker is a brilliantly clean and powerful look, with the Estate Blue chinos from Dockers popping beyond belief.

As for the back story / inspiration for the look, we are spun a tale of a man passed his prime, wandering a beech reminiscing over the golden days of his favourite sea-side resort; Frontierland in Morecambe. I could never do the description justice in comparison to those at oi polloi, so here it is:

“Raised on a diet of candy floss, Slush Puppy and Mr Whippy, he was once Morecambe’s favourite son. Eschewing the world of work in favour of the penny slots, his big winnings and penthouse in the Polo Tower made him the town’s most eligible bachelor. But, like the Polo Tower, what goes up must come down, and he’s never been the same since the turnstiles turned the final time a few years ago.

A broken man, he now spends his nights down on the shore, cone in hand (the ice cream having long since melted), sobbing quietly and mumbling about the Texas Tornado.”

An epic story, I’m sure you’ll agree.
