Wookie comes through strong with a promotional mix for Fabriclive, ahead of his set in room two at the London club this Friday.
Wookie came into the UK music scene in the heart of the 90’s. The sound that the man omitted was so distinctive, with bass and beats that stayed true to its underground scene, layered with a definitive 90’s London soulfulness, in tune with the likes of Soul II Soul (a collective Wookie spent some time working with). To this day Wookie still personifies this sound and continues to make this sound relevant in today’s electronic music scene.
This mix flirts between sounds of garage, funky, and house, and is a perfect selection to get you lively in time for his set at Fabric this Friday. Wookie plays room two at Fabriclive along with a more Drum and Bass led line-up, but will most definitely deliver. Check out the mix below and head over to Fabric for more details on the night.
