The first pieces from the Spring ’12 collection from Seattle’s Flying Coffin have begun to land in the UK. It blends graphic tees and sweats with plenty of punch, with further exploration of the brand’s cut & sew, including button-up shirts and outerwear.
The military green ‘Shell Shock’ Overshirt is an instant highlight, clean on the front, with just a small embroidered skull on the collar, and leopard print material on the underside of both the collar and pocket flaps. The jersey lined, water-resistant nylon Field Jacket looks good too, and, together with the black denim ‘Sin’ vest, it’s all made within the brand’s hometown of Seattle, WA. Graphic-wise, I like the look of the Superius, Mist, and Block Logo tees, crews, and pullover hoods, and a special mention has to be given to the stand out ‘Hell Hound’ shirt, which is no doubt likely to be a firm favourite for the season.
Check out the lookbook shots below, and look for the collection at select UK stockists from this week, including Fat Buddha, Urban Industry, and Wood.
