This Saturday, Old Street’s METER plays host to a one day only record shop, boasting some of the UK’s best independent record labels.
It’s always nice to see people supporting vinyl culture and independent record labels, so this event comes up trumps, supporting both. Head down to METER (Formerly CAMP), just off Old Street roundabout, to find a host of record labels pedalling their wares, be it vinyl or merchandise. There will also be vinyl only DJ sets from label heads and key artists throughout the day. A full list of record labels involved can be found on the flyer below, but some top picks include Astro:dynamics, Deadplate, Five Easy Pieces, Left_Blank, Local Action, ManMakeMusic and Take Records.
As well as records and merch being on sale, there will also be a box for burgeoning young producers to drop off their dubs. These will then be handed on to the record labels, so it’s a great networking opportunity as well.
If you’re in the area (or even if you hadn’t planned on it until now), head down and show your support.
