Nike+ Fuelband (UK Release)

Finally, we see the UK general release of Nike’s latest technology; the Nike+ Fuelband.

This is something that any Nike fan will have been patiently waiting for for quite a while now, not helped by a release in the States before here (something that makes the patience very thin). But thankfully we can all put those itching temptations to bay as the Fuelband hits NikeTown in London tomorrow morning.

For those who are not as obsessive as the rest of us, I’ll do a brief explanation of the Fuelband as best I can and then leave you to watch the professional explanation in the video below. The Nike+ Fuelband is quite a simple, yet complicated idea; it’s a band that you wear on your wrist at all times and it monitors your movements / activity. This information is then fed into your computer and/or iPhone and you can see how active you are. As I mentioned, it’s a simple idea, but not so simple to explain. I’ll leave it to the pros in the promo video or full info here

As for release details, some of you may have been fortunate enough to pick up a pre-release Fuelband from the Fuelstation at BOXPARK (shown below), but for the rest of us, you can now pick them up from NikeTown as well. Hitting shelves tomorrow morning at 10am, I would get down sooner rather than later if you are into having one of these. It’s a first-come, first-served affair, with a limit of two Fuelband’s per person, so don’t sleep.

    this is hilariously pointless.

Actually its something I really want (product) and the article gave me information I really wanted. So yeah. Not pointless at all.

  • Trevor

When will you be able to buy online ?

  • Trevor

    In the UK ?

  • Synamatix

Not too sure at the moment. Looks like it’s in-store only for now.

I feel like the band itself looks a bit ugly to wear – has anyone seen one in the flesh? how does it look/feel on?

  • Me

It just looks like one of those live aid bands that people had in all sorts of colours. Solid and you can add/remove a small section depending on your wrist size.

    Its pretty dope
