Nashmoney x Sole DXB ‘Bedouin’

Sneaker custom king Nashmoney recently put his unique talents to a special project for Dubai’s Sole DXB Sneaker Summit, tasked with creating a one-of-a-kind custom that would represent the growing sneaker culture in the Middle East.

Dubai isn’t the first place we tend to think of when it comes to kicks, but it appears they have significant scene growing fast. Two fundamental elements to Dubai’s love for sneakers are at the heart of the custom – performance and quality – reflected in Nash’s choice to combine the performance Encap sole from the New Balance 1500 with the supreme quality upper of the Visvim FBT, incorporating his signature cross-stitch. Slashing up the FBT is one of Nash’s signature tricks, and something most men wouldn’t dare to even consider, but it’s very well suited to this particular project. As a final touch, Nash dressed the skirt in Majlis fabric sourced locally, setting the shoe off nicely.

Nash has been absent from our pages for a while now, but it’s great to see he hasn’t forgotten his craft. Check out some detailed shots of the shoe’s production, and the final product below.

These are so well done, the way the signature cross stitching plays off the lime tints on the midsole. very nice! Who knew Dubai had such a scene…
