As PUMA attempt to further push the Suede into the JD Sports market, we see the arrival of two exclusive colourways for the sports store.
Now, before I go any further, let me draw attention to the fact that my opening statement was merely an observation, taking into light the recent partnership between PUMA and Jamal Edwards (and JD Sports). I think the suede is ready for the JD market to be perfectly honest, and I don’t think it will damage the shoes reputation at the moment.
As for the kicks themselves, they are surprisingly good. It seems JD have toned down the look of their exclusives of late, going for the more understated and classic colourways as opposed to the most eye-grabbing, and I’m all for it. These two particular colourways are more to my taste than some of the ones that PUMA put out in their own stores last year for the Suede. Simple and effective, we see both a Black and a Blue rendition of the Suede, featuring a muted Grey leather form stripe and White outsole. Classics.
Priced at £50, the PUMA suede is still an absolute steal, and a rarity in a market that seems to push up the price of any classic shoe that is a current success. Pick up a pair of these now exclusively from JD Sports and keep your eyes locked for a further two exclusive colourways expected in August.
