Maison Martin Margiela present these clear sunglasses from their Spring/Summer 2012 collection.
Maison Martin Margiela is one of the most respected fashion houses and has been for quite some time now. Recent attention from the likes of Kanye and Jay-Z has boosted the profile of the brand outside of the fashion world. However, don’t expect to see it flooding the market like oversized Ralph Lauren logos as this stuff isn’t cheap.
Here we see some clear frame Cable Temple sunglasses from the current Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Hand made in Italy by British eyewear specialists Cutler and Gross, these sunglasses are mace from clear cellulose acetate with lacquered titanium alloy arms. UV, UVA and UVB light absorbant lenses give these incredibly stylish sunglasses a practical stamp of approval as well.
As for the design, the frame itself takes a very classic classic approach in regards to shape. It’s a timeless design that can’t really go wrong. The titanium arms are what really add that trademark Margiela touch though; with hooked ends to tuck behind your ears and a near wafer thing profile, this is where the style really comes in. The almost fog grey lenses are a perfect partner for the slightly yellowed acetate frame and the white case finishes off the package with a touch of class.
You can get a pair of these sunglasses from oki-ni now for £310.
