Norse Projects Playlist: Jokeren

After launching their Playlist series last week, Norse Projects quickly follow it up with the second rendition, brought to us by Danish rapper Jokeren.

I can see this mix series becoming something of an area for new music discovery for me, even if it’s just in their selection of curators. This week’s is a prime example. I had never heard of Jokeren before, let alone his pioneering rap trio Den Gale Pose who are Denmark’s best known rap group from the 90s. Solo he’s recorded with the likes of Easy-E, Rakim and Ice Cube, which is impressive enough as it is.

This playlist is a mix of Jokeren’s favourites, put together by the man himself and presented over roughly 40 minutes. As with the last one, there is no track list, but the mix includes a wide range of music from Muse to Hip-Hop to Pop to 80s Rock. All in all, it’s a good listen that goes all over the place, which is refreshing.
