Polo Ralph Lauren Vintage Varsity Shorts

Polo Ralph Lauren keep things simple and do what they do best with these Vintage Varsity Shorts.

Apparently, these are from the Autumn/Winter 2012 pre-collection, which is a little bit hopeful. Either way, they’ve dropped in time for Summer. Made from washed twill cotton, these have a faded approach that makes them easy on the eye and very soft to the touch. A timeless staple for that smart-casual look, you can’t really go wrong with a good pair of Ralphy shorts in the wardrobe.

These particular shorts feature some vintage detailing, namely the stitched reinforcements at the crotch, seat and below the pockets. A traditional button fly finishes these off before that infamous Polo logo is embroidered on the left thigh. As you can see from the pictures, when teamed with a simple pair of New Balance and a white tee, they make for an effortless outfit.

Both these colours are available now from oki-ni for £85 a pop.

It’s not just stiching on the seat, there is extra fabric there to reinforce it, to save it from wear.
