The Buttery store present their second full lookbook and this window into their Spring/Summer 2012 stock is a marked improvement since their AW11 lookbook.
Once again, the chaps behind the store have kept a heavy focus on their local surroundings. The model selection is one of the main improvements, with the guys in this lookbook skirting a fine line between premium models and your average joe. It’s a successful formula for making a lookbook feel realistic. As for the clothing, there are some solid outfits in here. Some more accessible than others. I’ve got to say, the bearded fellow looks on point at all times. Rocking the rustic, homeless-man-done-good look.
The real differentiating factor between this lookbook and their last is the photography. Shot by the hugely talented music photographer Andrew Whitton, the photos have a texture and colour to them that makes me want to stare for ages. The lookbook still retains that fun, family attitude that The Buttery Store hold dear, but this time, the photography does the store and the stock full justice.
