Introducing new British glasses band Fan Optics, the combination of the creative efforts of graphic designer Sarah Coburn and product designer Guillaume Furminger.
Launching to the world last week, Fan Optics is made with two things in mind; style and longevity. Each design is made using the best quality Italian acetate, strong metal finishings and all polished off with a handcrafted touch. The debut collection from the duo is titled the Inaugural Collection and features standout styles such as the Vala, meaning chosen, a tulip silhouette clear frosted frame and the stylish matt black finished Colby, meaning coal town.
Each style name found in the 6 strong optical and sunglasses collection is named after old English regional names, tying back into the brands made-in-England roots. Other styles in the collection are Ailen, meaning made of oak, which is created with mixed amber toned acetate. The two slender round frames are called Brock, meaning Badger, Osbert, meaning inspired, and finally Denver, meaning green valley, which features a 1980s inspired green acetate with slate tonal flecks. All the names are a creative way to express the Englishness of the brand.
The debut range titled the Inaugural Collection from Fan Optics is available now. Check out Fan Optics to purchase and for more information.
