Lacoste add a new silhouette to their footwear collection today; the Clavel AP, seen here in light brown.
Supposedly a hybrid design of the classic Desert Boot, the Clavel sits somewhere between a smart shoe and a sneaker, like much of Lacoste’s footwear. This particular model does have certain elements that hint toward the Desert Boot, as well as some that hint towards early Pointers or even the Edwin x Shoefolk collaboration.
The simplicity of the full suede upper set off against the leather heel pull is really nice. Minimal embossed branding keeps an element of class, but the vulcanised sole unit dampens that down a bit unfortunately. An easily worn shoe that comes at a very reasonable price point, these are assured to be very comfortable.
The Lacoste Clavel AP is available from Lacoste for £65.
