Nike once again bring the Air Epic back to life in a vintage make up, this time kitting it out in a bamboo, challenge red and khaki colourway.
We’ve expressed our love for the Air Epic before, mainly over the recent quick strike vintage pack, so there’s no need for us to reiterate that here. But just so that we’re clear, the Air Epic is an all time great silhouette. Nike still can’t get enough of their vintage treatment, even if a lot of people don’t like it and desperately attempt to wash it off as soon as they get home, but that’s another story.
This colourway sees the Epic appear in another retro palette. The use of an almost entirely bamboo upper with hints of khaki (not sure where the difference it) keeps things nice and simple. Take some challenge red and splash it in all the right places and you’ve got a winner. Part of me really wishes that these hadn’t been sent to the vintage lab to get stained, but at least they showed a bit of restraint on the outsole, unlike it’s quick strike brothers.
This Nike Air Epic Vintage is available now from Crooked Tongues and will set you back a reasonable £70.
