African Apparel Burzum Bootleg T-shirt

African Apparel look to Norwegian Black Metal band Burzum for their latest piece of bootleg music merchandise, in a similar style to their much loved Bob Marley and RuPaul designs.

Using a black T-shirt base this time, African Apparel place the Burzum text logo above an inverted black & white image from Disney’s Bambi. This is something I really like to see – African Apparel continuing to play with a style which is increasingly becoming their own, and building nicely on the designs that have come before it, adding something different to the mix.

The design itself is a comical juxtaposition between the ‘gloomy forest’ imagery typical of black metal tees, and the obviously much lighter and brighter forest from Walt Disney’s 1942 animation. To finish it off, the Olde English ‘B’ of the Burzum logo is replaced with Disney style lettering. You can grab one from African Apparel now, alongside a selection of their other designs.
