The adidas Spezial is an all time classic. Here we see it re-born in two rich tonal makeups of dark royal and mars red.
Riding on a grubby gum sole, the Spezial almost refuses to let go of it’s late ’70s era, and we respect that. Four holes tunnel their way underneath the forefoot as a design feature, adding to the subtle nature of this shoe design. It doesn’t feel so random talking about shoes designed for handball now that the recent Olympics have shone a light on the sport, which up until now has remained a mystery in the UK and a huge success in the rest of Europe.
A simple, clean upper works exceptionally well in these tonal colourways, mixing premium suede with splashes of leather in the right places. Gold branding finishes these off with a bit of class. You can’t really go wrong with a pair of classic adidas handball shoes like the Spezial, especially when they’re tonal like these.
Head over to Crooked Tongues where you can find these for £60 a pair.
