Newcastle’s SoleHeaven have announced a new three-way collaborative project titled The 144, marking their 3rd anniversary next month, which includes a footwear collaboration with ASICS and two pieces of headwear with fellow Brits King Apparel.
With the first release incorporating 4 pieces in total, the project is tagged with the like “One Run, It’s Done” to signify the limited nature of the products themselves, each piece limited to 144 units. Two colours of ASICS’ Aaron MT vulcanised court shoe, make up the footwear half, with deep burgundy and navy suedes forming the autumnal colour palette. I’d personally have preferred to have seen one of the Gel Lyte models featured, but the Aaron MT is a strong option for those who prefer a midtop, particularly in the burgundy.
The two snapback caps, produced in conjunction with King Apparel and Starter’s ‘Black Label’ series, are designed to accompany the footwear with corresponding colour options, each with a suede peak mirroring materials. The 144 logo is embroidered under the peak, and SoleHeaven’s ‘Woodypower’ crest sits debossed on a suede patch on the front.
For the store’s first collaboration, I’d say they’ve done pretty well, and have provided something a little different. All of the items are available exclusively from SoleHeaven on pre-order now. The anniversary celebrations will continue with a launch event in the coming weeks.
