Vans Classics launch the Van Doren Series


Vans launch the Van Doren series, re-issuing some classic prints from the brand’s past in the 80’s and 90’s.

Taking archived shoes, scanning them and then printing the designs on canvas for the new shoes, Vans have managed to re-issue some classic patterns with style. The prints appear to be weathered, done on purpose by the folks at Vans using a stonewash to give a vintage feel. Personally, I’m not too sure what I think of this. It looks good, but part of me wishes they were straight up re-issues.

This first collection sees two colourways of the Era, Slip-On and Sk8-Hi, all featuring the original Van Doren heel tab branding. To keep things truly old school, Vans have even re-issued a classic box design for this collection, using original colours and artwork.
