Puma have given the iconic Suede a premium makeover with a small but impressive ‘Made In Japan’ collection.
First seen in 1968, the Suede has stood the test of time as a silhouette proving popular amongst the masses. It’s been at the forefront of cultural movements such as Hip-Hop and breakdancing across the pond and has seen it’s fair share of terraces on match day over here. Taking colour cues from the 1980’s versions of the Suede, this collection keeps things simple with either red, blue or black being available. The shape has been subtly updated with a slightly narrower last and shorter toe box, giving it a sharper appearance and reducing the lining to ensure a comfortable fit.
These are produced by Puma’s Japanese factory, with the attention to detail and quality at an extremely high standard. They’re made from thick, long lasting suede and are sat upon the thick, instantly recognisable rubber sole unit. The blue with white branding and red with black branding have a timeless appeal and an effortless class.
The collection is available now from oki-ni at £135.
