First introduced in 1984, adidas Originals have created these two moody renditions of the classic L.A. Trainer exclusively for JD Sports.
The L.A. Trainer is a very significant shoe, both for adidas and running as a whole. When it was first introduced in ’84, it was the first outdoor running shoe to offer adjustable cushioning via the instantly recognisable plug system. The OG models came in either a suede/mesh combo or a full leather, both with tri-colour pegs. Here we see JD Sports strip this shoe down to a tonal beast, covering it in either a dark navy suede/mesh or a dark onix suede/mesh, both with tonal pegs in the heel of the white midsole giving it a stealth vibe.
It’s an iconic classic and these dark variations are very fitting for the current trend of dark tonal retro running shoes. At £65 a pair, you don’t have to worry about them taking a beating either, which is a bonus. In fact, they’d probably look good a bit battered.
Head over to JD Sports where you can find both pairs exclusively.
