Swallows & Daggers start off December with a new line of printed T-shirts and fleece that continues to see them grow as a brand, while remaining true to their original ideals.
The range of tees, crewnecks and a zip-hood features 5 new graphics, including the Bad Luck Club design which you may have seen on previous promotional stickers, on heather grey sweats. Clark Orr (Johnny Cupcakes/The Hundreds/Benny Gold) again lends his artistic hand to a few of the designs, including the brand’s new script logo. Most designs are produced in at least 2 colour options, sticking to black, white, heather grey and navy bodies with the odd splash of colour, in a similar format to the brand’s previous range.
Building on the foundations of hardcore punk and tattoo culture which spawned SnD, the new range has allowed the brand to break from the sometimes negative connotations of that niche into a clothing brand in it’s own right, with it’s own individual following. The lookbook was shot by Dorrell Merritt, who’s work we’ve featured a couple of times before, and chooses to focus on a selection of key pieces from the range. The ‘Rat Squad’ design is my favourite of the selection, and the clean lines of the lockup and script logos make great brand carriers.
