Sheffield’s The Alternative Store have recently opened a new branch at 121 Division Street, providing an independent home for streetwear brands in the city.
Although one of the most populated cities in the UK, Sheffield has until now been fairly overlooked when it comes to streetwear stores. The Alternative Store’s history in the city stretches back 20 years, and the new boutique covers the more recent arm of their product range, stocking US brands like Crooks & Castles, The Hundreds, 10.DEEP, and The Quiet Life as well as local names XCVB, Skull and Bones Boys Club and Hantu Collective.
The store itself is pieced together from reclaimed wood, including a counter top made from the shop’s former front door. It’s well put-together and stacked with product, and so it would be well worth a stop if you’re in the area or passing through. You can also browse the product currently in store online at The Alternative Store.
