Last night saw the UK launch of the 2012 edition of Michael Dupouy’s ALL GONE book, hosted by Footpatrol and Puma.
Aimed to document global streetwear culture throughout the year through the finest product released, the ALL GONE book has become a collectors item in itself, as shown by the loyal queue of fans outside Footpatrol last night. Kicking off procedures at 5:30pm, people were ushered into the shop in small batches, making their way to the till to pick up their copy of ALL GONE before heading back to the front of the shop to get them signed by Michael Dupouy. It happens every year, and for some it’s the annual pilgrimage of streetwear.
Drinks were kept flowing courtesy of Koji, while the snacks took a more classic approach with Poppets, Mini Chedders and Skittles all available in a seemingly never-ending amount. It’s always a pleasure to see Michael Dupouy signing his books and metting his fans, as he’s endlessly humble and gives every fan his full attention, from the first to the last.
With streetwear culture continuing to try and find it’s future path here in the UK, it’s events like this that keep it on the right track. The night had a vibe very similar to a good sneaker launch and it’s part of streetwear culture that isn’t given enough love here in the UK. Shouts go out to Michael for continuing to do this project and push quality printed media in a world where a lot of this scene is online.
Check out the shots below and stay tuned for an interview with Michael dropping shortly.
