Esther Porter’s TENT collection is back with there eco friendly approach to luggage and getting a few shades brighter in time for the warmer months ahead.
We introduced Esther Porter’s Tent collection last year. It was a brand that stood out with it’s successful execution of compromise between classic style and eco friendliness, something somewhat of a rarity. Manufactured at Chapman Bags in Cumbria, the collection takes on that British-made stamp of quality using British rubber-bonded cotton canvas, equestrian-grade cotton webbed straps and nickel hardware. This heritage take on design has been married with a modern take on fabric sourcing, using reclaimed tent materials left over from music festivals
This time around we see the brand take on an additional backpack design alongside the usual silhouettes. Taking on inspiration from military bags and cycle-panniers, we see the backpack incorporate a fold over closure for extra protection and water cover. Accompanied by the Barrel, Satchel, Rucksack and Holdall designs seen in previous collections, this season’s new colours are geared up for the Summer, featuring a more vibrant sky blue and golden yellow.
The fact that this ecological approach to manufacturing poses no threat to the quality or look of these bags deems this brand a bit of a winner for us and we’re more than impressed with the colours this season.
Spring/Summer 2013 TENT collection is available instore at YMC and Sefton now.
