Enclave ‘Sans Nom’ SS13 Teaser Video

UK brand Enclave start the promotional cogs turning for their forthcoming SS13 collection titled ‘Sans Nom’ with this short teaser video.

Literally translating from French as ‘without name’, you could well call this the ‘Nameless’ collection by Enclave, with a typically stylish tongue in cheek approach (if there is such a thing) that we’ve come to expect from this brand. The video plays on certain themes that can be found at the core of Enclave; patterns, textures and incredibly clean and functional design with twists of the surreal thrown in for good measure.

Since their inception back in 2010, Enclave have pushed forward at a steady and impressive rate that has seen the brand continue to grow organically and progress it’s ethos and message. It’s always nice to see a small UK brand do well, especially when it’s this deserved, and we look forward to seeing the full SS13 collection shortly.

for goodness sake, if all you need is a couple good dj’s to flirt with on twitter and the nerve to rip off a well known parisian design studio (amongst many others), call me ill, but i might just have a go at putting my own collection together myself. there is nothing british about this brand and i am absolutely blown away that this label took your award for best british menswear brand 2012. not only does kyle so blatantly rip off the people that are creative and that have been working artists for years, he thinks it’s ok to go and run his mouth about british brands that take time to come up with original pieces. there is nothing new or inspiring about this label, it’s an absolute joke. kyle’s interview with tom breaks was one of the funniest reads of 2012, that in itself deserved a prize, my favourite part was kyle suggesting that people have offered him money for his ‘industry contacts’. i’m sorry, i’ve just wasted five minutes of my life writing about this and i feel like a real bitch, but come on people, you only have to spend a few minutes on the internet to discover how sad it is to see someone taking all the glory for simply stealing other peoples work and claiming it to be their own.

Not necessarily the most original label in the UK at the moment, but then I would be hard-pressed to decide somebody to award that to. Failing that, I’m happy to say that Enclave is one of the strongest and most fully-formed brands that is starting to move to the next level at the moment.
I think criticisms about similarities between the brand and ‘a well known parisian studio’ – so it’s such a rip-off that you’re not even confident enough to just say the name? – are a bit confused. It’s no secret where Enclave gains its influences, and the fact that he’s being stocked in Pigalle would kind of suggest that his work is being celebrated by his peers, rather than it being a rip-off of other people’s work. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I suppose. Look forward to seeing the full collection.

Jealous fuckers, Kyle is killing it. Ill studio didn’t invent the style of design / typography, but are simply at the forefront of it, as far as independent U.K brands go, Enclave is one of the best.
