Video: Supreme “London” Skate Video

Supreme have released a skate video solely dubbed “London”, presented in line with the launch of the Supreme x COMME des GARÇONS collaborative efforts that occurred this week.

The video runs just shy of a two minute duration and takes us on a short tour with the skaters through the London streets. Shot by Rollo Jackson and Oliver Payne in a lo fi style, a quintessentially London feel is encaptured, largely helped along by the soundclips of Slipmatt, The Dream Team and Wiley. It’s interesting to see the New York brand in London producing a video in a similar fashion to London brand Palace’s video in New York, which dropped almost exactly a year ago.

There’s a guaranteed hype around this video as with most things that the brand puts its name to, but it is definitely nice to see Supreme reinforcing its existing wealth of presence in our capital city.

I’d say ‘skate video’ is pushing it. Supreme seem more concerned with appealing to the masses of people that consider themselves alternative than actually maintaining any connection with its skateboarding origins
