Supreme x Vans Rose Print Triple Pack

Supreme x Vans Rose Print Triple Pack 01

Today, Supreme have announced their latest collaborative pack with Vans and it’s one of our favourites to date, putting this season’s rose print to great use.

The rose print pattern has quickly become one of the most hyped parts of the recent Spring/Summer 2013 collection from Supreme, so to see it draped over some of our favourite Vans models is an absolute win. This pack consists of a Chukka, Sk8-Hi and Era, all leather lines and featuring a healthy dose of rose print. Keeping things clean and classic, the soles units are all white with black piping. Undoubtedly, the Era will be the most popular in this pack, being the most versatile Vans model stylistically, but we’re loving each of these shoes as much as the next.

For an added bit of geeky British pride, the Rose Print is actually inspired by the album artwork for ‘Power, Corruption & Lies’ by New Order, originally released in 1983 and designed by British designer Peter Saville. You can check the artwork at the bottom of this post. We like to think that us Brits can claim a certain amount of responsibility for this awesome print.

There’s little else to say about these. They do what they say on the tin, so to speak. It’s a certified hype affair and a guaranteed vanishing act when they hit the shelves of the Supreme London store this Thursday (7th March). Do not sleep if you want a pair.

I’ve really not been a fan of Supreme or it’s Vans collabs to date. But this changes things. I don’t know if it’s my attitude changing or their approach, or both. The chukkas look great, that print is outstanding. Would have preferred the authentic to the era, but let the hipsters buy all the eras and leave me a pair of chukkas please! Does anyone still wear the sk8-hi model? Good looking but ill fitting and horrible to wear IMO. But not wanting to end on a negative, hope to get to the Supreme store Thursday for a look at these in the flesh. Peace.
