The Distinct Life x Reebok Classic Ventilator

Next to release in a weekly string of Reebok Classic collaborations is this maroon leather Ventilator, which sees Burn Rubber’s Rick Williams return to the plate, this time under the guise of his creative agency The Distinct Life.

It features a camouflage print subtly debossed into the full grain leather upper, mixing this with tonal suede panels, tan mesh and a gum sole. As a contrast, a clean white midsole and natural coloured suede elements bring a lighter side to the shoe. Were it not for the camo, this shoe could be in danger of passing a lot of people by, but it adds intrigue to the hefty leather upper, mirrored nicely with the printed sock liner, and appears on a silhouette we don’t see a lot of at the moment.

While the Ventilator shares Rick as a creator with the recent Burn Rubber x Reebok Classic Leather, it also shares the BAU branding with Frank The Butcher’s re-working that released a few weeks ago. Branding on this release is just as prominent, with ‘Distinct Life’ stamped across the tongue, and the BAU logo on the heel, lace locks and hang tag.

It’s great to see the Ventilator getting in on the action again, especially when the materials utilised are this good. The Reebok ‘TDL Camo’ Ventilator goes on sale just after midnight tonight, creeping into Saturday March 30th, at a handful of locations, including Hanon.
