UK online store The Great Divide draft in the skills of the talented Joshua Gordon to create this short piece of photographic editorial titled “Hot Girl Summer in the City”.
It seems that this Summer’s hottest trend is to put fine menswear on fine girls and take very good photos of them. We’ve seen it recently with Rebecca Naen and Hayley McCarthy’s “Girls in Print” and now we see analogue obsessive Joshua Gordan create this piece for The Great Divide. It’s a format that works and currently we’re likin it, giving shoots a little more to them than the usual average-clothes-on-half-naked-girls approach that tumblr has unfortunately infested streetwear with in the last few years.
Here we see Joshua take some of the top product from The Great Divide, including brands such as Wood Wood, Our Legacy, Soulland, Ralph Lauren and Wolsey, styling them on model Li Ann Small. The mixture of hazy film, laid back style and evening sunshine works wonders and is something that is heavily embedded in Joshua’s style at the moment. Our favourite shot has to be the one including an old Toyota Celica, for both it’s rude boy attitude and references.
