It seems New Balance can do no wrong right now and when it comes to collaboration projects there aren’t many other brands who can rise up to the challenge quite like them. The 1500 has been subject to some incredible collaboration efforts and now Japanese retailer United Arrows put their personal spin on this classic silhouette.
This is one premium shoe and it’s the kind of collaboration that has the same appeal as past efforts from the likes of Solebox. A near full suede construction on the upper makes room for only a small amount of mesh, with the price point (£159) reflecting that high quality construction. Although leaning towards the expensive side, this collaboration’s charm comes from the simplicity of the tonal application which gets extensive use across the shoe. Apart from the dominate tonal upper, there are hits of gold found on the embroidered tongue branding and the classic ‘N’ details on the side, with an option to switch up the laces to the extra set of orange replacements provided. All of the high quality design found on the upper continues down in to the midsole where you’ll find the unparalleled comfort of the Encap outsole cushioning.
You can pick up a pair from End at midnight on the 27 April.
