The Chimp Store have just taken delivery of a limited Spring collection by US brand Dertbag. It’s always nice to see something a little bit different make its way into UK stores, and with the brand set to be a future streetwear mainstay, you may well want to get on board now.
Dertbag have gained a lot of their press so far around the fact that owner Philip Post is still only in his late teens. It’s interesting. It’s impressive, but for me, it’s not important and just one factor in the brand’s success. Like many staples of streetwear, Dertbag’s design influence falls somewhere in the crosshairs between skateboarding and hip hop (with a slight focus on Cam’ron in particular, as you’ll see from one of the designs below). The only time they’ve appeared on our pages before was with their 2011 collab 5 Panel with indcsn, so it feels good to welcome them back.
The new drop is limited in styles and includes a tie-dye logo tee, two colours in the aforementioned Cam’ron design, two in the sportswear styled ‘DB Gullywear’ and the black ‘I Could Get It In Da Drought’ piece, which features further text on the reverse. There’s also a white longsleeve tee (as above) which is my favourite of the bunch – I’ll always snap up a good longsleeve tee when I can as we never see enough of them in the UK.
Sizes are already starting to run low, so it’s worth being quick on this one. I hope we see a lot more from Dertbag in the UK and I’m already eagerly anticipating their progression to more developed clothing because I think they’ll do it justice. Get a look at the Spring styles below and head to The Chimp Store to purchase.
