The ever controversial adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collaborative project announces it’s Fall/Winter 2013 collection in the form of this lookbook.
Let’s be completely honest here; a lot of people have come to hate this collaborative partnership. For some it’s simply pushed the boundaries too far, for some it’s just got old and for some it never made sense in the first place. However, as with anything that pushes boundaries in it’s nature, for every person who passionately dislike it there is someone who likes it equally as passionately. A wise man once told me that if you’re not doing something that stirs people up either positively or negatively, you aren’t doing anything of interest at all. However, I won’t gloss over the fact that Jeremy Scott’s most recent catwalk collection was a blatant rip off of Jim Phillips’ work with Santa Cruz – that was unforgivable.
Regardless of whether you like the craziness or not you have to respect adidas Originals for accepting Jeremy Scott’s madness in all it’s extremities since 2003. You also have to be aware that amongst these wild collections are some gems that when taken out of context can be real game changers in an outfit. It’s mainly the clothing where this is the case. This season is no exception with Jeremy Scott putting to use some awesome floral patterns that steal the show.
The Fall/Winter 2013 adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collection hits stores late July.
