Video: Real Lies – Deeper

New London record label Sweet Exile announce their first release from London based group Real Lies with this awesome throwback video.

Sitting somewhere between old rave records and modern electronic pop acts, Real Lies present a sound that would do equally as well in a club as it would on stage at a large festival. The video is supposed to encourage a feeling of what a meaningless night out in London with friends feels like, and I think director Rollo Jackson does a good job at this. Seeming to slip in and out of current footage and ’90s footage, there’s a very strong focus on nostalgia here, both in the video and the track itself and it’s moreish. Some of the shots are truly exceptional, especially the laser shots in the bath.

Expect to see this releasing soon on the forthcoming double A side ‘World Peace / Deeper’ as part of a trilogy of releases on Sweet Exile.
