This week PUMA celebrated the return of their Trinomic XT+ range with an exhibition in a Dalston bunker followed by a drink-fuelled musical celebration on a nearby rooftop.
The evening began with a tour of a basement space displaying new and forthcoming Trinomic colourways, together with large information boards detailing the history and tech behind the shoe, video projections and archive adverts providing further insight into the story. Each installation, video and display was contained in a different room of the green-lit bunker, with a soundtrack of quotes from fans of the Trinomic range, each sharing their own thoughts on its importance, inviting attendees to wander from room to room to gain the full experience.
The exhibition was followed by a celebration on the roof of a nearby building, with a fully stocked bar and food by When Mac Met Cheese (I’m a regular, but this was my first time trying their deep fried Oreos and I cannot recommend them enough). Music came from Shy FX and surprise guest Ms Dynamite, a nice touch which added to the evening’s throwback theme alongside the reflective snap bracelets providing entry and cassette tape gifts given upon leaving.
The event was a great opportunity to learn more about the Trinomic tech and its story so far, whilst revelling in a little nostalgia. See for yourself in the video above and images below, and read more about this week’s PUMA Trinomic XT2+ reissue here.
