Stephen Cheetham returns to his passion for sneakers with this latest series of illustrated prints, focusing on sneaker boxes and how they’ve changed over the years.
Having drawn attention to his now very well known Nike decades illustrations back in June last year, we’re glad to see Stephen returning to the topic of footwear for this latest project. Focusing his attentions to the boxes of a select few brands, Stephen is drawing people’s attention to how some of his favourite sneaker brands have adapted and changed their packaging and branding over the years, featuring Nike, adidas, Converse and Vans. In the words of the artist himself …
“This time I’ve concentrated my attention on the box rather than what’s inside. Looking initially at Nike, Adidas, Vans and Converse, I picked boxes from throughout the brands life, showing how a brand changes over time.”
From the way that he words it, it sounds as if there may be the potential for a part 2 of this series. Who knows. We can but hope.
You can pick up prints of each illustration from Print-Process ranging from £30 to £120 depending on size.
