Video: Edwin Winter MMXIII Film

This short film from the Edwin camp caught my attention just the other day as the brand took to the Les Vosges mountains to showcase their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection.

With the supremely picturesque surroundings of the North Eastern French mountain region as the backdrop, Edwin’s ‘Further’ crew set out on an expedition through literal feet of snow and -15°c temperatures for this 3 minute short. It does the perfect job at highlighting just what a Winter collection should be about – warmth. The tumbling snow brings a definite chill, but each of the participants look more than comfortable in layers of Edwin denim, knits and outerwear. The collection itself provides a tonne of options for layering, with gray, navy, and the traditional indigo used throughout, along with the contrast of a few rust and mustard coloured items.

I’m already eagerly anticipating winter’s arrival and I guess that’s why I enjoyed this piece so much. The whole thing has been beautifully shot, and Lee Moses’ version of California Dreamin’ provides nothing short of the perfect accompaniment. View the film above and check out the full collection at Edwin or in person at the brand’s London store.
