Nike x Undercover Gyakusou AW13 Footwear

Nike and GYAKUSOU enter their seventh season of collaborating together and they continue to push the boundaries of fashion and performance apparel. Here, we take a look at the footwear of the latest AW13 collection.

GYAKUSOU head designer Jun Takashi has opted for two models, with the Lunarglide+ 5 JP and Lunarspider+ 3 JP featuring some minor tweaks such as waxed laces and structural overlays to increase support. As a running enthusiast himself, Takashi understands the needs of the runner and combines that knowledge with his signature minimal design approach. Expect lightweight, breathable and supportive footwear which looks just as great.

The aesthetic is as minimal as the performance design, with autumnal colour options that work perfectly here for runners and those who like to keep their footwear for style purposes only. The emphasis on performance is met with a highly considered aesthetic which is always a tough balance to achieve, but as always Nike and GYAKUSOU get it so right. The collection is aimed at those who stay enthusiastic about their running regardless of the season, but there’s just as much to admire from outside that performance based perspective.

The Lunarglide 5+ JP, Lunarspider+ 3 JP and the rest of the collection are available from End now.
