UK brand PXL Clothing present a new range for AW13, continuing their story of technology-rooted designs with a collection referencing telecommunications.
The new range moves away from some of the bolder colours found in previous collections and sticks firmly to trends with a monochromatic take on US sportswear, featuring tees, raglans, jerseys, and sweatshirts. Most of the items are branded with the numbers 0207 (PXL’s flip on sports jersey numbering with a London-centric area code) and a pixelated US flag, tying this range together and signifying the American inspirations.
The varsity jacket (not pictured) is a definite highlight, made from heavyweight british wool with a button-through front and grey detailing on the chest and sleeve – a great example of the sorts of pieces the brand are capable of. The US flag does seem a little alien for the British brand, and some may criticise PXL for borrowing from a trend that’s been so widely used elsewhere, but on the whole this is a nice collection with a few really strong pieces.
The AW13 collection is available now from select stockists and online from PXL Clothing. Check out the teaser video above and more imagery below.
