Last Thursday I found myself on a flight to Madrid to head to the European press day for Eastpak’s SS14 collection. Here’s a look around …
Simultaneously launching the SS14 lookbook while showcasing the SS14 product and rebranding, this event was rather significant for Eastpak. The lookbook is clean and playful with a nice selection of guest appearances from some of the brand’s favourite personalities. More on this to come. What really caught our attention, other than the bags themselves and the props from the lookbook that littered the room (ending up with me sat next to a sharks head pulling faces as seen below), was the smooth rebranding that will be rolling out from SS14 onwards.
Taking the original Eastpak logo and cleaning it up, it’s hard to notice any difference until you actually compare the new one to the old one. Same goes for the Heritage logo, which has also taken a cleaning as you can see above. Again, it still contains the same elements as it used to, but presented in a much more minimal and modern style.
