Music Monday: November Week 1

This week we’ve been listening to the likes of Phil Collins, James Blake, The Clovers and Mötley Crüe (for Adam’s birthday).

01. Phil Collins – Sussudio

“The recent release of Action Bronson’s “Blue Chips 2″ has breathed new life into my Phil Collins listening thanks to the heavy sampling of this musical legend. Specifically this track because of it’s appearance in AB’s “Contemporary Man”.” – Alex

02. Action Bronson – Contemporary Man

“Makes sense to give this track a listen after listening to one of the main samples. You can download the whole mixtape for free here.” – Alex

03. DRS – Count to Ten ft. Enei

“I stumbled upon a Loxy mix from Dimensions 2012 this week and this track really grabbed my attention. It’s nice to still be enthused by D&B tracks as it was a huge part of my teenage years.” – Alex

04. James Blake – Take a Fall For Me

“I’ve been a fan of James blake since way back so I’m comfortable in saying I’m not just jumping on the hype after his Mercury win. This link up with RZA is genius… Well two geniuses.” – Luke

05. The Clovers – Devil or Angel

“Picked up an lp by The Clovers on my last record shop. Classic R&B vocal group business.” – Luke

06. Guns N’ Roses – November Rain

“November’s here, let Slash, Axl and co ease you into the month with this epic 9 minute rock ballad from 1991.” – Adam

07. Mötley Crüe – Girls, Girls, Girls

“It was my birthday at the weekend, and despite it being a fairly tame affair, this Mötley Crüe anthem and many others were my pre-party soundtrack.” – Adam
