Brooklyn Bowl to open at The O2

New York bowling outfit Brooklyn Bowl are opening their first location outside of NYC, to be housed at The O2 in London.

It’s a good weekend for any Brooklyn related business to be opening in The O2, what with the Atlanta Hawks vs. the Brooklyn Nets happening tomorrow night. Taking residency inside The O2, the venue will boast 12 bowling lanes, a restaurant with food by NYC’s Blue Ribbon and a 500 capacity music venue. Launching this Friday night, none other than the Brooklyn Nets team will be hosting the launch party to bring a bit of their home town to our home town.

Here’s what Brooklyn Bowl CEO Peter Shapiro had to say on opening in London:

“London is our first post outside of NYC and we’re just so excited. It’s a hard venue to replicate; and there’s only one city with the same vibe, energy and diversity as New York and that’s London, so it was a natural step for us. Standing in our new venue here at The O2 feels just like you’re at the original site in Williamsburg – it’s extremely surreal and we can’t wait to welcome everyone down!”
