Introducing: Workshop Denim by Universal Works

British brand Universal Works present their excellent, new, Made in England denim line ‘Workshop Denim’.

Rather than trying to recreate a vintage look, Universal Works have gone straight to its origins, sourcing 13oz vintage loom made denim from Portugal, later assembled back in Britain. UW have stripped things back to the core with this range, forgoing a lot of the typical frills to focus on the quality and fits of the materials at hand. The product features unbranded rivets and a subtle ghost patch containing branding on the inside, proudly stamped as ‘Made in England’.

The denim is available in both regular and slim fits and is joined by two jackets – a classic denim Trucker jacket and a denim version of the brand’s chore-style Bakers Jacket. Though you might not be initially convinced by ‘triple-denim’, the pieces look great when worn together as you’ll see in the images below.

To announce the release, Universal Works have created this stop motion look at the creation of the line which you can check out below.

The collection will be available from this Friday, April 4th, at Universal Works as well as from Oi Polloi (Manchester) and Peggs & Son (Brighton), with prices ranging from £135-£185.
