Jordan Future

Celebrating the relationship Jordan Brand has established between the basketball court and street, the brand releases this new Jordan Future design which combines one of its iconic designs with modern day technologies.

The construction of the one-piece woven upper creates an entirely new look. It’s a design that takes the off-court appeal of the XI and brings it into a coherent design that sits well in todays market. The design doesn’t stray too far from it’s predecessor and given the innovative nature of Nike it’s not too absurd to think that Michael Jordan could of been wearing something like these in ’96 instead. Having said that, this design does resemble the Air Jordan XV in a way that’s more appealing.

The essential AJ XI design elements are still in place with a carbon fibre plate, full-length air outsole  and lightweight comfort and cushioning. The minimalist nature of this design is helped by the asymmetrical lacing system which reduces pressure throughout the top of the foot, with the suede interior and ankle collar enhancing comfort. There’s also small details such as the wax laces and reflective accents throughout the upper that finish this modernist take on a classic.

Both the Infrared and Glow make-ups will be releasing on 15 March over at

Get rid of that asymmetric lacing and I’m down.

Wasn’t sure about these at first but I’ve warmed to them

  • Alex Synamatix

Agreed. It’s the only thing I’m not feeling on this shoe, otherwise they’re really nice.
