Music Monday: March Week 3

This week sees another edition of our Music Monday feature with the likes of Seven Davis Jr., Tomorrow’s People, Hi5Ghost and Wild Beasts on our playlist.

01. Wild Beasts – Present Tense (album)

“Big fan if the band, no one else does Thierry sound like them. A lot of bad copies but not as good. And camo Lo track called in smash. The bear is crazy, nothing else.” – Grizzle

02. Tomorrow’s People – Open Soul

“Yesterday was spent lounging in the sun, soaking up heat and listening to music like this. I fully recommend you check out the full 20 minute version also. Pure classic Chicago soul.” – Luke

03. Hi5Ghost – Kung Fu Kick

“One of Bristol’s finest grime producers right now is Hi5 Ghost. He’s set to have a big year. This debut came out Friday on Badulu Records. Go cop.” – Luke

04. Weezer – Say It Ain’t So

“It’s been one of them weeks where I hark back to a certain age musically, an age when I listened to a lot of Weezer. This week it seems a little bit of my 13 year old self is creeping out with this one. Classic.” – Luke

05. Patten – Aviary

“The guy at my local record store told me about patten’s latest release on Warped. So I checked it out, loved it and then went back and listened to some of patten’s older stuff too. Aviary is a stand out track for me.” – Chris

06. Chaka Kahn – Feel For You (Seven Davis Jr. Cover)

“Seven Davis Jr. is one of the biggest musical talents around lately. He just never seems to fail to bring the vibes and this recent cover of Chaka Kahn kills it.” – Alex

07. New Look – The Ballad (Koreless Remix)

“Been listening to a lot of Koreless this week. No need to explain those actions. This remix of New Look’s ‘The Ballad’ is a particular highlight of his back catalogue for me.” – Alex
