Recap: G-SHOCK x Maharishi ‘Lunar Bonsai’ Launch

This week saw the unveiling of Maharishi’s latest collaboration with G-SHOCK, continuing the pacifist prepper theme from the Oak & Berry model with the new Lunar Bonsai GD-X6900.

The launch took place next to G-SHOCK’s East London store and presented the chance to hear Maharishi founder Hardy Blechman, unofficially the world’s foremost expert on camouflage, talk about the origins of camo, how it was adopted and utilised by the world’s military and ultimately what it means today.

Maharishi continue to create unique and interesting camouflage patterns each season, including the Lunar Bonsai design that features on the new watch. The pattern itself utilises the lunar surface in what appears similar to a black and grey tiger camo, tying the watch in with Maharishi’s current Spring/Summer 14 collection.

The launch offered a first look at the watch, expected to release in limited numbers shortly, and a chance for a closer look at some of the two brands’ previous collaborations. Check out a few photos below and stay locked for more information on the G-SHOCK x Maharishi ‘Lunar Bonsai’ watch’s release date shortly.
