The internet has been ablaze lately with the excitement surrounding the Pigalle x Nike Air collaboration. We take a close look at the collaborative Air Force 1 LW CMFT.
With images teasing us on Instagram this week from Pigalle, they have been stirring up some serious excitement ahead of the official announcement. Now that the embargo has been lifted, we can show you a detailed look at one of the key items from the collection, the Pigalle x Nike Air Force 1 LW CMFT. Made from premium painted leather, with soft leather laces and a leather/suede mix interior, these stink of luxury (almost literally). The grey paint job gives them a rough, almost concrete appeal that is very Pigalle in it’s aesthetic qualities, while an ice outsole gives us a window to a collection of motifs underneath. It’s a strong piece of work.
Collaborative branding features throughout, with the Pigalle styled NIKEAIR logo on the tongue and a leather swing tag on each shoe, one with the collaborative logo and one with Pigalle’s logo. Pigalle logos also feature on the heel of the shoe, all embossed into the leather. Again, the collaborative logo features on the in-sole, but this time it’s printed in the typical Pigalle style as a black box with white text.
It’s clear from the quality of the materials and the attention to detail that no expense was spared when designing and creating these Air Force 1 LW CMFT’s, but we wouldn’t expect anything less from Pigalle.
Expect to see these hitting stores later this month, presented in an all white rendition of the new NSW box with a red label.
