Jordan Brand follow up last week’s Concord 11 Low release with two new ‘Dark Concord’ colourways in the Air Jordan 1 ’86 and Air Jordan 2.
The new retros feature the same Concord colour palette we’re used to seeing on the Jordan 11, bringing the dark purple colour from the sole out into the upper. The Jordan 1 ’86 (which combines the Jordan 1 silhouette with elements of the Jordan 2, which debuted in 1986) features an all black upper of both smooth and textured leather, the latter with a snakeskin appearance. Concord accents appear on the swoosh, laces, lining and Jordan Wings branding, which now appears on the tongue as well as on the side and the distinct molded heel counter of the Jordan 2 is added to the back.
The Air Jordan 2 also borrows elements from other Jordan releases, mixing a base of white smooth leather and elephant print (Jordan 3) with Concord clouring on the piping, tongue branding and heel counter. A black lining and black laces match a speckled black midsole, a style borrowed from the Jordan 4, but otherwise things are kept clean.
